Stages … big and small

One of Indianapolis’ busiest bands, The Why Store shows incredible versatility when it comes to the places they play. From venues that hold thousands to bars that may accommodate just a few hundred, The Why Store “brings it” every single show.

The band enjoys playing live. Regardless of city or stage, they have a mindset of giving the crowd their all every single time they take the stage. What makes The Why Store so fun to watch and engage with is the energy they give every venue. You are going to feed off their energy if you are one of 10,000 at the show or your lucky enough to be the only person in the room … not that that would ever happen.

Sharing the stage

Playing Riverbend Aamphitheater was terrorizing … not because of the venue but following G. Love & Special Sauce doing their thing, then opening for Widespread Panic. It was a rush!  Widespread Panic really didn’t have opening acts back then. Having John Bell tell us we did a great show was truly amazing – Chris Shaffer

Whether it’s opening four nights at MSG on the John Mellencamp tour or more recently sharing the stage with Sublime with Rome, The Why Store always finds jamming rockers to be fantastic and cool.

“Playing Red Rocks outside of Denver was truly magical. We played as the sun set and gave way to a full moon … truly unforgettable. We opened for Ben Harper, who couldn’t have been more gracious and awesome. ”
